ENGThe City of Gdansk and the MTG SA Gdansk International Fair Co. have the honour to invite you to participate in a special project dedicated to the EURO 2012 European Football Championships known as THE CHAMPIONSHIP ZONE at GTT 2012.
The event will be held as part of the 15th edition of the GTT Gdansk Tourism Fair, April 13–15, 2012, which comes less than two months before EURO 2012 kick-off. This is an excellent time to present comprehensive information about the event to the people of Pomerania, visitors and football fans from all over Poland and beyond.
The Gdansk Tourism Fair has for years been in the lead of Polish trade events dedicated to tourism. GTT enjoys unceasing interest among the people of the Tri–City of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, the region of Pomerania and northern Poland and among the Polish and international exhibitors who present their summer offer on the threshold of the summer season. In 2011, GTT had more than 300 exhibitors, with an attendance of almost 10,000 trade visitors.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP ZONE at GTT will be organised in a stand-alone, state-of-the-art exhibition hall with an area of 3,000 m2. The CHAMPIONSHIP ZONE will provide all the practical information on how the EURO tournament is organised, including fan support, the operation of the CHAMPIONSHIP ZONES and the extra attractions which have been planned for football enthusiasts at EURO 2012. A CONFERENCE dedicated to subjects including the effects of large sporting events on national promotion and country development will be an important element of the project. The event’s agenda will also include many attractions for the public, such as tournaments, competitions for children and young people with EURO and sports related subjects and meetings with celebrities who hold the title of "FRIEND OF EURO 2012."
